I'm lucky enough to have beautiful friends, both inside and out. They make it really easy for me to take a portrait and capture them in a moment. Good thing I only pay them 10$ an hour to love me! Haha kidding. Kind of.
Regardless, these are some shots I have taken of my friend Samantha, Sammie if you will. She's currently finishing up her nursing degree, but still finds time to spend her days in the mountains hiking, and snowshoeing with me. We both have a very fond love for anything nature related. She's one of my best friends, and no doubt in my mind, someone I can always call up to go on adventures in Canmore or Banff or literally ANYWHERE in the mountains, she'll be stoked to accompany me:)
As she should, Am I right?!
This is my little Sammie. She may be short, but she's a fiesty little thing! This picture was taken on the Gondola in Banff, Alberta... our amazing backyard.
Taking it all in, as always!
Probably getting annoyed with me, that I'm ALWAYS trying to capture something. Including her face:) but c'mon look at it!
Here, we were taking a much needed Brewskie break, waiting for the sun to set so we could hike up to the top to take photo's of nature's natural beauty. No editing required with these pictures!
This is by far my favourite portrait that I have ever captured from a friend. Haha
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! you're welcome Sam.
So now that we're relaxed on some mountain top beers, we decided to make the trek up to the top to capture some beautiful pictures.
It was Freeeeeeezing cold, but we're Canadians EH? so we kept on going, even though Sam told me that it didn't seem too cold outside, and in turn I ended up wearing flats. Am I wrongfully blaming her? Yes.
Am I allowed to because she's my Besty?
Ding Ding Ding! Yes again.
This is probably my favourite photo I have ever taken of her. The lighting, the atmosphere, everything just seemed perfect. Maybe I was numb though, couldn't really tell ya! Well I could, because I just did. Onto the next one..
It was breathtaking up there... Such a great day:)
Thanks for S.W. for letting me show her face all over the internet, I had other sites in mind, lucky I played nice! :)
Sleep tight, and YAY CANADA. gold baby. Just like this girl.
Peace and Love.

Love this post, Danyka! You are great at capturing nature's beauty in her raw and pure form. Samantha is beautiful, which does help make the job easier! ;) I love the sun and the mountains - stunning. And the picture of the reflection is also gorgeous. Nicely done!
